WOODZ: Be the Dark Horse and Make Your Way to the Top on Survival Show

 

Recently, there are a lot of survival shows going on to make a group with popular members and hopefully will make a big hit on the industry. As mentioned in some of my articles before, Woodz was also a participant of a survival show Produce X 101. His performances in Produce X 101 remains a legendary performance for a survival show trainee. He managed to go from placed 67th on the first evaluation of the show to ending up joining the debut line up with 5th place as his final rank. His rank on the show never dropped even a little bit and never stayed at the same number, it always progressed every single time and that’s the origin of this legendary meme of him below.

    What are his tricks on being the dark horse of the season? Let’s check them out.

1. Always go ahead to try to do something even when you don’t end up getting it. In the show, Woodz is always up for being the center of performance’s candidate, or to be main vocalist or main rapper of the team and is also capable of being a leader to his team. Even when he didn’t get chosen at the end but at least he tried to get the position in the first place.

2. Be humble and show your ability with actions. Woodz is one of the trainees of Produce X 101 that debuted before the show started, he is like the second oldest senior of all the contestants but in the show they didn’t mention his long journey and experience in the idol industry. Despite not being mentioned as a senior on the show, Woodz didn’t make a big deal out of it, instead he just stayed humble and friendly towards other contestants even with the ones that are much younger than him, making it easier for them to get close and be comfortable with him. He also personally knows a few of the song producers who made the concept and debut evaluation song for ‘Produce X 101’ but he didn't mention anything about it on the show making the audience shocked to find the truth that he is actually good friends with these producers.

3. Don’t be afraid to show your true self, it’s your unique charm. One of Woodz’s ways of getting more recognition is by his charming and cheerful persona. His naturally funny behavior caught the attention of the audience and it made them want to know more about him. He often said funny things on the show and was playful in front of the camera just as much as he actually is in real life.

4. Make sure to give your best on every performance. A lot of his performances went viral over the internet for having a very good stage presence and he also got praised for his live singing skill. Make some remarks on every performance, make it like it was really designed just for you, like your natural habitat.

Those are some of the tactics that Woodz used to slay every evaluation in the show, his legendary survival show era will forever be an amazing era that has special space in his fans’ heart.
